My Top 5 Indoor Snowy Day Activities for Preschool
|
I promise the easiest and tastiest way to make snow icecream is to collect about 12 cups of CLEAN snow and add one small can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir! Scoop into cones and add chocolate chips, sprinkles, or fruit to the top and watch the kiddos SLURP it down! I have tried lots of different snow recipes and this one is the absolute favorite with the kiddos in my preschool year after year!!! |
I combined several learning aspects into these fun little Halloween puppet ghosts. First, we took some plain white paper sacks and gave each child a paint pallet of red, blue, green, yellow, and white. We mixed and splattered the bags front and back. Then came the dry time. Once dry we cut out sticky backed glitter foam into oval eyes and crescent mouths. As we discussed the shapes and observed that when we placed the crescents one way they looked like a smile that made the ghost "happy." We further observed that when we turned the crescents the other way it looked like a "sad" ghost. This led to quite a long conversation regarding why the ghosts might be happy or sad! |

"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."
Walt Disney
" Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain." Henry David Thoreau
"There isn't anything more full of hope, joy and peace than a child's smile... It captures the mundane and makes it extraordinary." - LaDonna Woolsey
